Sarah Hunter

Sarah A. Hunter is the newest attorney to join the Salango Law, PLLC team. She brings with her over seven years of experience in civil litigation, including personal injury, healthcare law, and labor and employment.

During her career, Sarah has not only worked on nationwide healthcare litigation relating to the opioid crisis and class actions regarding claims of large-scale medical malpractice, but she has also litigated many, smaller personal injury matters, including those relating to professional negligence, general negligence, and injuries caused by defective products. Additionally, Sarah has also litigated several labor and employment matters regarding wrongful termination, sexual harassment, and workplace discrimination. Sarah has advocated for her clients in trial courts across the state, including the United States District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of West Virginia. She has also worked on several appeals in both the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

Sarah has been named as a West Virginia Super Lawyer, Rising Star in civil litigation for the past four years and was featured in the Virginia & West Virginia Super Lawyers magazine in 2021. She has also been nominated and selected by her colleagues as one of the “Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch” in the areas of civil litigation and healthcare law since she became eligible for recognition. Sarah was also featured in Super Lawyers Magazine in 2021.

Sarah earned her Bachelor of Science in legal studies from the University of Toledo in 2013, graduating magna cum laude, and earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Toledo College of Law in 2016, graduating magna cum laude and Order of the Coif. While in law school, Sarah served as the Executive Articles Editor of the Toledo Law Review.

Sarah moved to Charleston, West Virginia in May 2016. She lives in the city with her husband, Chris, and their two children. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys cooking and baking new recipes for her family to try, providing copious amounts of belly rubs to her two dogs, Harrison and Ringo, and reading and writing fiction.
